Description
Paul and Maureen Beebe dream of a day when they have their own pony, one that won't have to be sold after they've gotten attached to it. They just need to buy one. Paul has one particular pony in mind -- the Phantom. Every time Jack fides with the men to Assateague Island for the roundup, the magnificent black mare has eluded them. But this time, he is sure that she will follow him through the channel to the mainland. Then, he sees Phantom's new young colt, and his heart is immediately captured. This young colt seems to be made from sun and mist, and so he calls her Misty -- Misty of Chincoteague. This is a heartwarming true story of two children and the wild ponies they love on Assateague Island.
