Description

From the depths of troubled dreams, King Kull witnessed prophetic visions of a sinister power spreading from a Black Spire, whose source called from his childhood village upon Atlantis. Roused from his slumber and mania, Kull freed the wrongly imprisoned Conan of Cimmeria and Brule, asking their assistance to seek out and vanquish this evil before it brought calamity to Valusia - a proposition readily accepted. Bolstered by a contingent of the king's loyal Red Slayer guards, they traveled across the sea, weathering savage storms and foul pirates, before making landfall on Atlantis. Wending through routes laid forth in Kull's visions, the retinue followed the king, wary of his dark melancholy, and the evil power said to be close at hand. A caution well-founded, for arriving at the site of Kull's former Atlantean home, they discovered no dark tower but instead a vast orifice of devastation: a screaming abyss leading deep into the Earth's bowels, knowing too that this is where they must
